For the 1982 IMSA season Bob Akin commissioned Chuck Gaa of Gaaco to design and build a "Super GTP 935". The result was Porsche 935 Bob Akin L1, more readily know as the Porsche 935 Lola. It had a Lola T600 GTP nose and a new purpose built monocoque bonded aluminum chassis. Akin only entered it in 6 races...5 IMSA races and the 24 Hours of LeMans.

This is Mini Racing's LeMans version of the car, kit #0078. It has a very nicely cast and detailed body with headlight, refueling ports, smooth front fender arches and rear deck details and decals all specific to the car that ran at LeMans. Mini Racing released an IMSA specific version later as kit # 0094.

All in all a nicely detailed kit which should build into a very fine model of this unique car.
