Starting work on another long-stalled out project. This time, the Carreidas 160 from the Tintin album, Flight 714 to Sydney. Once again, I've designed and printed a 3D model. I decided to use my filament printer. It's rough and will require a lot of sanding, but my attempts to use the resin printer were not great. The walls are relatively thin and were prone to warping. I will use resin to print the finer details. Let's see how it goes~

Thanks guys. It will likely take a while before I have any udpates... there's a LOT of putty/sanding that needs to be done. 🙂

Sanding... putty... more sanding... and then more sanding. I printed the fuselage halves so that the support markings (think ejector pins) would be hidden on the inside, but I'm now thinking I should have printed them the other way around. Sanding the outside is brute work but getting my fingers into the nooks and crannies inside is tricky. Maybe I should've printed it smooth on the outside and sanded it smooth on the outside. Hard to say which would have been better.
