Pics above: Pre- shading
A lot of spent time later- the finished pre- shading.
Black base coat,- glazes with grey and white acrylics applied by paint brush for the color modulation,- pin wash with Vallejo german darkgrey acrylic wash and blended with some water,-
drybrushing and stippling technic to highlight the edges and details.

Much more invested time later.
Again no airbrush was used.
Build up the color using glazes and filters applied by paint brush.
Not finished jet but it goes further...forgot to paint the wheels...
...and trying to get the tracks sagged.

The base.
I don't like that one which is included in the kit, that's why I do one myself.
Want to keep it simple,to bring the vehicle more into focus.
Only a paved street with tram tracks and a lantern is in progress.
I engraved the entire pavement in plastic sheet.

Album info

Found this kit in the local toy store.
It was a spontaneous idea to join the Matchbox Group Build on Scalemates.
Saw, bought and built the model within 2.5 hours.
The idea was to paint the whole thing with the paint brush without using the airbrush.
I want to use techniques which were always used on my fantasy tabletop miniatures.
Also want to paint the whole thing only with acrylic colors.
Hope it will work...

Weathering or other depictions of dirt isn´t planned, it should have a more "artistic" look;).
I decided to omit the included base from the kit and build my own.
It consists of a wooden base and self-engraved plastic sheet and parts.
The kit used is a Revell reissue (03229) from 2008.
