August 5, 2016Starting with the interior, dificult to explain_ this guys from Cyber Hobby had spent so much effort in detailing parts that once closed are never to be seen again, look at all this structure in the front!2
August 5, 2016They even bothered to do all the internal structure of the fuselage but living massive ejector pin marks... I can´t understand... By the way, this is dryfit before painting, small bits are glued but moslty is loose to paint in separate.3
August 5, 2016super nice details out of the box! PE seatbelts are realy a nice touch.4
August 5, 2016I painted and weathered everything just for exercise... I realy like the way this pilot office is looking!5
August 5, 2016No PE or decal is provided for the instrument panel, so I brushpainted all (or toothpickpainted in this case), drops of clear coat on the dials to make them stand out, the throttle levers is looking realy nice! they are separete piece. well done CH!6
August 5, 2016I painted it with my mix of Tamiya: XF-5 + XF-4 + X-8 , 1:1:1: to me looks much more alive US interior green than the Gunze offer, but US interior green can be almost anything since the shades can vary a lot!7
August 5, 2016I will smooth the transition in the fuel tank to reproduce the later type.8
August 5, 2016I think it is working nice, used milliputty here we can see a bit of the wing structure out of the box9
August 5, 2016bigest issue of the CH model IMO is the shape of the engine cowling, I found this side by side among CH and eduard one, this one in the picture have already undergone some sanding the edges in one atempt to correct it, I also tryed but had no success...10
August 29, 2016that´s the best solution for the misshaped front cowling that I came across: to copy the good one from Eduard, here we can see the result11
August 29, 2016side-by-side, the CH ones is already with the front of the cowling copyed from Eduard, the propeller from the Eduard´s is more twisted as we can see but in the other hand, one positive point of the CH: you can make the cooling doors in the open position!12
August 29, 2016interior is very detailed in the 2 models, but the cockpit in the CH one is much larger, I belive the Eduard is correct, as I´m doing the wings folded, I hope that it can hide a little of the difference13
August 29, 2016front side-by-side: the propeller from Eduard is better shaped, more twisted and the hub have more details, but the CH is not bed, I´ll add some details in the hub to make them look closer, engine is looking very good inside in both models14
October 14, 2016testing paint into one resin engine before go for the definitive one, looks very shinny! Mr Paint "super silver", I had this paints sitting in my shelf for a whille, I´m giving it a go.15
October 14, 2016both engines and propellers together16
October 14, 2016to spice up the hub I had glued small pieces of sprues melted and pulled to make thin lines (I have no idea what is the english name for "plástico estirado"). With that I simulate the screws emplacements.17
October 14, 2016I decided to not use the extra fuel tank because I will go for the Tiny Tim rockets, so To better appreciate this exotic weapons I will keep the rest clean and not draw attention, for it I have to fill the holes with "stretched sprue" (Is that the name?)18
October 14, 2016I glued with PVA glue one piece of mesh that I took from one Revell model car, the Eduard one have photoetch for that19
October 14, 2016the sise is a little different but I think is not too bad, it will do, better than live it empty, definitely
