Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero model 21 | BI 151 | 2nd Carrier Division

Back on the bench, and i decided to start a quick project. This A6M Zero belonged to Lieutenant Fusata Iida of the 2nd carrier division, 2nd strike unit, Imperial Japanese Navy. He was aboard the aircraft carrier Souryuu during the attack on Pearl Harbour, December 1941. 

This picture is of Iida's A6M2b Zero model 21 being delivered from the factory to China in early 1941, although as you can see it is missing it's recognizable blue markings at this time. 

Tamiya's beautiful 1/72 kit of this aircraft is by far it's best rendition at this scale, and looks to be a pleasure to build. 

First modification is an easy one: drilling through the holes in the pilot seat.
