Probably a swastika, which is a bit silly. Paint your tank white to blend in and then put a red target on the top. 😄

Yeah, I figured it was probably the [cough] "national flag"
Camouflage be damned, I think it'd make for a pretty cool-looking colour scheme!

the reason of the swastika flag was for aerial reconnasance by theit^r own planes to prevent being bombed or machine gunned .... on pz III & IV they often paintedit on the stowage boxes
