Tintin and the Picaros (Mil Mi-1)

An oldy, but looks like a goody from the box. 

Only one sprue (and a couple of clear parts). How hard could this be? 

Hmmm... that has more flash than the Justice League. 

The main parts glued together. I see lots of putty and sanding in my future. 

Some paint down in the cabin. 

Not much will be visible inside, so no need to get crazy on the details, right? 

Wow... mind the gap! 

Masking done, but some putty required... and then some more. 

The paint will show... oh, my... more sanding needed! 

Second round of sanding complete, and I scratched up some flaps for the air intake vent. 

The main painting is now done... but we still need some highlights. 

All painted and assembled. Just a panel wash and some decals to apply now.
