Self-taught modeller, from the halcyon days of the 1970's. Experienced a rennaissance in the late '90's and learnt a whole lot more. Preferences being aircraft in 1/72 and 1/144, with sci-fi when I can find it.

Having acquired a mega-Stash in the mid-90s, I now effectively manage my Acquired to Built ratio and my builds now exceed my acquisitions.
Occasionally, I get the privilege to do reviews for SAMI and SAM magazines and prefer modelling in the real, as opposed to mixing with too many 'virtual' modellers on-line...although FaceBook has dragged me to that Dark Side.

Founder of the Classic British Kits SIG (IPMS-UK) and given the boot by a clique that was apparently intimidated by my prolific modelling.

Now content running a couple of FaceBook Groups, with proper Group Builds occurring within these.
